It’s an especially ironic outcome, considering how Linden’s accusations against Richmond incited the shooter who paralyzed him in a twisted way, this is his revenge. Even the threat of a press leak doesn’t flap Richmond, who cites Linden’s history of mental illness.
She killed Skinner to serve justice (albeit mostly personal), and now the very justice she fought-and failed-to enact publicly has been obliterated once again… by her, by Skinner, by Richmond.

Imagine the damage to the city’s (read: his) image if it were revealed that a cop had been Seattle’s latest serial killer. They still make you wonder who dunnit for awhile but no surprise at the end. The old adage that you should always leave your audience wanting more has been proved by some of the best TV shows. In its gaping absence, we'll gorge on whatever BBC Four offers in its place: The Bridge, for instance, and Borgen (which returns to our screens next month) are similarly accomplished – and Danish. When their leader, Xi, decides to throw it off the end of the world, he moves to the edge of the desert, where he encounters the representatives of. 'Killing 3' repeats a lot of the tropes, themes and plot lines of 1 and 2, but with a much more forceful, thrillerish American style dashing about and shouting a lot. 'Killing 2' was a slide backwards with a ridiculous denouement about Danish killings of civilians in Afghanistan. Television history tells us that this level of quality rarely endures, so let the US rema ke of The Killing continue to dilute its power with endless series. 'Killing 1' set the tone and broke the mould. It's right and proper that the makers end it here. Rotten Tomatoes, home of the Tomatometer, is the most trusted measurement of quality for Movies & TV.
